Wonderful Peace

I have been praying for peace and wisdom.  We have a tough decision to make.  I consider it a major life decision.  Pivotal, even.

I have been seeking His will, and in many ways have felt a pulling one direction. I have been AFRAID of that direction.  It SCARES me.  It is full of questions.  It is full of NEW. It is SCARY!

I woke up with this in my heart this morning, and since I have been met with so many other reminders of where my hope and peace lies.  We serve an amazing God who gives us amazing answers. He put a song in my heart to calm my tattered nerves

Wonderful Peace

Far away in the depths of my spirit tonight
Rolls a melody sweeter than psalm;
In celestial strains it unceasingly falls
O’er my soul like an infinite calm.

Refrain

Peace, peace, wonderful peace,
Coming down from the Father above!
Sweep over my spirit forever, I pray
In fathomless billows of love!

What a treasure I have in this wonderful peace,
Buried deep in the heart of my soul,
So secure that no power can mine it away,
While the years of eternity roll!

Refrain

I am resting tonight in this wonderful peace,
Resting sweetly in Jesus’ control;
For I’m kept from all danger by night and by day,
And His glory is flooding my soul!

Refrain

And I think when I rise to that city of peace,
Where the Anchor of peace I shall see,
That one strain of the song which the ransomed will sing
In that heavenly kingdom will be:

Refrain

  1. Love it. Nothing is better then the peace that God gives us. So glad that you are seeking HIS will for your life and not what seems to us the best thing to do.

    The God I serve doesn’t work in a box. His ways are not logical. We can’t put it down on paper and know that the “better” way is God’s way. We need to get out of the boat and walk by faith. As scary as it is.

    So thankful for the peace that only God can bring.

  2. Praying for a peaceful answer for you. You will find it, you always do cause your focus is where it needs to be.
